Croque monsieur

Heat the béchamel and add some grated nutmeg (according to your taste). Finely grate the gruyere.

Put 4 slices of sandwich bread on a baking sheet, spread them with the bechamel sauce, place the prosciutto on top, sprinkle with grated Gruyere and add a teaspoon of mustard (if desired). Cover with the other 4 slices of sandwich bread. Cook on the oven grill for 3-5 minutes, until the surface is golden and crispy.

Ingredients (4 people): 200 g grated gruyere cheese, 4 slices of prosciutto cotto, 8 slices of sandwich bread, 200 ml of bechamel sauce, nutmeg, mustard.
