Saturday 12 December marks an important anniversary for the city of San Gimignano: ​​thirty years since the inclusion of our city on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In such a difficult year for tourism as 2020 has been, the anniversary day will bring to focus the themes of tourism and culture as new (and renewed) engines of post-pandemic economic development: all this will be discussed in a live session on Saturday 12 December at 10 am, on the Facebook page and on the YouTube channel of the Municipality of San Gimignano.
The online event on December 12 will open a full year of activities dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the inscription of the historic centre of San Gimignano in the Unesco World Heritage List. In particular, from February 2021, thematic tables will start focusing on tourism and culture in San Gimignano and on updating the Unesco management plan; the results of the works will be presented during the year, with a final event scheduled for 11 December 2021.
