Evoè: give me a bucket!

Evoè! With this shout of jubilation we greeted together with Intravino’s Sabrina Somigli the tasting of two vintages of Panizzi’s most experimental and innovative wine, Evoè bianco di Toscana IGT.

EVOÈ 2007: wow effect on color because the hues are red gold, you said nothing! Rich on the nose ranges from tea to peach to more balsamic herbs, has light spice between nutmeg and cardamom and hints of barley candy. The mouth is moved, lively in its stimuli, fresh with slight spiciness of ginger. Beats already on the tip of the tongue and holds the sip with hints of tannin that prolong the tactile persistence. Pleasant finish with return of balsamic herbs and resins. Good first taste!

EVOÈ 2016: give me a bucket of it! Ancient and contemporary wine that seems to be the essence of Vernaccia. It is spicy, reminding me of peppered bread, hints of orange peel and traits aromatic verses sage or perhaps rosemary, almond and seashells, an expression to say it reminds me of the sea 😉 Full acidity, tannin that is unencumbered and unexpectedly round finish with hints of honey and almond return.
