In golf it means 1 below par, in Panizzi it means unconditional loyalty and dedication.
Birdie is the pure and healty Auslese German shepherd that for 6 years (from the age of 10 months) has accompanied Simone Niccolai.
He never leaves him. In Panizzi, the vineyards, the offices, he roams free, without ever losing an eye on his master (the maximum distance that he allows himself are 3 meters, no more). Panizzi is home: his 40 pounds do not frighten anyone.
His world are Simone and his family: his wife Paola (Birdie is in love with) and, now, little Virginia. Birdie is constantly below the stroller during the day, under the baby cot at night.
It's the fourth German shepherd for Simone, the dog that everyone wishes to have: loving, quiet, able to roam free in the vineyard, on the beach, in the countryside, in town and, of course, on the golf course, sport to which Birdie owes his name and which Simone has practiced for 6 years, especially in the courses of Tuscany (he is registered at L'Abadia in Colle Val D'Elsa).
This year's International Dog Day is for him.
