2020 was an unimaginable year, also full of satisfactions for Panizzi, with flattering confirmations and news that project us into the future.

Many of our wines have received prestigious national and international awards, putting the denomination under the spotlight: among the protagonists, the Vernaccia Riserva 2015, awarded with the highest score (94) by both Robert Parker and Decanter, as well as that from Wine Spectator, after having already received the highest recognition (5 grappoli) from the Bibenda 2020 guide.
The quality of Vernaccia Riserva Panizzi is also confirmed with the Riserva 2016, which this year, to our great satisfaction, won the 3 glasses in Gambero Rosso 2021, the 5 grappoli of the Bibenda 2021 guide and the Crown of the Vini Buoni d'Italia guide 2021, in addition to the awards of Wine Hunter (Gold), Vinum Kultur Magazine 2021 and Slow Wine 2021.
The Vernaccia vintage 2019 received important international accolades (92 points, highest score, from Wine Spectator) and national (Slow Wine, Doctor Wine), as well as our other white wines (Vigna Santa Margherita 2018 with 2 red glasses of Gambero Rosso and the Red Wine Hunter award, the latter also went to Evoè 2016).
Among the Panizzi red wines, Pinot Nero 2018 won the 2 glasses of Gambero Rosso 2021, Folgore 2015 obtained the Gold medal at Wine Hunter, while the Falstaff Chianti Trophy 2020 awarded excellent scores to our Vertunno Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva DOCG 2015 (91) and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG 2015 (90).
Last, but not least, 2020 is the year in which the entire production of Panizzi is organic certified, for all our wines, white and red, as well as the production of our extravirgin olive oil.
